Carshuni

(also Karshuni), a Syriac script. It was used by Arabic-speaking Christians in Syria in the fifth and sixth centuries, both in everyday life and for the copying of Nestorian liturgical books. Together with Nestorianism, Carshuni spread to central and southeast Asia as far as China and India.
