释义 | Fairbanks, CharlesFairbanks, Charles (Warren)(1852–1918) vice-president, attorney; born near Unionville Center, Ohio. A prominent attorney, specializing in railroad disputes, he became a senator in 1898, and vigorously supported President McKinley. He served as Theodore Roosevelt's vice-president (1905–09) but had little impact upon that administration. He ran unsuccessfully for the vice-presidency in 1916. |
