(ĕk-sĕn″trō-ŏs″tē-ō-kŏn″drō-dĭs-plā′zhē-ă) [Gr. ekkentros, from the center, + osteon, bone, + chondros, cartilage, + dys, bad, + plassein, to form] A pathological condition of bones caused by imperfect bone formation. Ossification occurs in several different centers instead of in one common center.
