Brady, Samuel,

1758–95, American frontiersman. He fought in several battles of the American Revolution but earned his name as a scout in the Ohio country under Daniel BrodheadBrodhead, Daniel,
1736–1809, American Revolutionary officer and Indian fighter, b. probably near Albany, N.Y. He was taken as an infant to Pennsylvania, where he later served as deputy surveyor general (1773–75).
