Location:6 miles south of Dunsmuir on I-5.
Facilities:76 developed campsites, 6 environmental campsites, restrooms, showers,picnic areas, hiking trails (28 miles), visitor center, exhibits.
Activities:Camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, horseback riding.
Special Features:Park is named for the 6,000 feet tall granite spires (glacier-polishedcrags) that tower above the Sacramento River. Park also offers a viewof Mount Shasta to the northeast. A section of the 2,650-mile PacificCrest National Scenic Trail passes through the park (see separate entryin the national trails section), and a 2.7 mile access trail leads toCastle Crags Wilderness, which is part of the Shasta-Trinity NationalForest.
