Activities:Camping, swimming, lake fishing, boating, hiking, cross-country skiing,snowshoeing, snowmobiling, wildlife viewing (park has several albinodeer).
Special Features:Located on the southeast shore of Mille Lacs Lake, the park was named in honor of a French Jesuit priest who visited the area with a French expedition in 1680. Throughout his trip, he kept a journal describing the untamed wilderness he encountered.
