D-gene D-gene DNA sequences for the ‘diversity’ segments of the variable region of the heavy-chain gene of an IMMUNOGLOBULIN. Joining of a D-gene segment to a J-GENE segment, followed by fusion to a V-GENE generates a rearranged gene for the variable region of the heavy chain. See also C-GENE. |
