Electropyrexia

treatment by means of an artificial fever induced by an ultrahigh-frequency electric field or high-frequency magnetic field (inductopyrexia), a variety of pyretotherapy used to regulate the body temperature during a therapeutic procedure. The body temperature rises to 38°–40°C as a result of the tissues absorbing the energy of the electric or magnetic field. Stationary apparatus—UVCh-300, Ekran-1, and DKV-2—are used for electropyrexia to treat polyarthritis, gynecological disorders, and other conditions.
