释义 | Creighton, James EdwinCreighton, James Edwin(1861–1924) philosopher; born in Pictou, Nova Scotia. In 1892, after study in Germany, he earned a doctorate from Cornell University and joined the faculty of Cornell's new Sage School of Philosophy (1889–1924). He also became coeditor and (from 1902) editor of the new Philosophical Review, American editor of Kant-Studien (from 1896), and a cofounder and first president (1902–03) of the American Philosophical Association. His own philosophy was idealistic; a volume of his essays appeared posthumously (1925). |
