beta symptoms

A group of clinical findings which, if present in a cancer—classically described in Hodgkin lymphoma, but also described in other lymphomas, lung and other cancers—are associated with a worse prognosis than the same TNM-stage disease without beta symptoms.
Beta symptoms
• Night sweats.
• Fever > 38ºC for 3 consecutive days.
• Unexplained weight loss > 10% of body weight.
