Dazhbog
Dazhbog
(also Dambog), in Slavic mythology, the god of the sun; in Russo-Slavic mythology, the god of the sun and fire, the son of Svarog (hence another name, Svarozhich). Dazhbog is repeatedly mentioned in the Russian chronicles (for the first time in 980). In The Tale of Igor’s Campaign, the Russian people are called the grandsons of Dazhbog.
