Maksimov, Fedor Pavlovich

 

Born July 4 (17), 1903, in the village of Bol’shenizovtsevo, present-day Ryl’sk Raion, Kursk Oblast. Kolkhoz production innovator and organizer. Chairman of the Krasnyi Oktiabr’ Kolkhoz in Ry’sk Raion, Kursk Oblast, in 1940 and 1941 and from 1946 to 1970. Twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1948, 1957). Member of the CPSU since 1931.

At the kolkhoz, Maksimov achieved high, stable annual harvests of agricultural crops. The kolkhoz took part in the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition of 1954-55. Maksimov was a delegate at the Twentieth and Twenty-second Congresses of the CPSU, a deputy to the third convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and a deputy to the fifth convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. He has been retired since 1970. He has been awarded the Order of Lenin, two other orders, medals, and the large and small gold medals at the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition.
