fire detectors

Heat-sensing devices, such as flame detectors, fire switches, thermocouple switches, fire wires, and pyrochords. When the temperature in the zone in which these are located rises beyond a design value, a fire detector detects this. A fire detector can be a resetting type, which resets itself as soon as the fire goes out, or a nonresetting type, which remains on even when the fire has gone out and has to be reset physically by the technicians on the ground. Most modern fire detectors are the resetting type.
