Question
Country: United States of AmericaState: MichiganSix months ago I traded a leased 2003 vehicle for a 2002 vehicle. The dealership called the bank for the payoff amount for the 2003 and a quote was given. The dealership transferred title of the 2002 to my name and we signed papers giving title of the 2003 to the dealer. Six months later (currently) the bank withdrew $2600.00 from my account. They indicated that the dealership had not made the final payoff. I called the dealership and was advised that the bank had misquoted the final payoff amount and wanted more money. The dealer advised me to stay out of the situation because it was between them and the bank. The bank did not return my money even though the truck was no longer mine. Neither the dealer nor the bank advised me within the last six months about any difficulty regarding the transaction. I was oblivious to the whole situation. In the meantime the dealer indicated that I have to keep making payments on the 2002 and the bank also indicated that I have to keep making payments on the 2003. Need good advice
