fracton dimension

fracton dimension

[′frak·tən di‚men·shən] (physics) A parameter d̄ associated with a fractal material distribution of fractal dimension D such that the average frequency ω of fractons of size l is given by a power law stating that ωis proportional to l -D , and the density of vibrational states is proportional to ωd̄-1. Also known as spectral dimension.
