a machine for pulling out flax stalks and spreading them on the field in the form of a solid strip. Both mounted and trailer-type flax pullers are used. The mounted flax puller can also be used for dividing the field into small sectors and preparing them for mechanized harvesting with turning possible in the pulled zones.

The principal operating element of the flax puller is the banddisk pulling device with dividers. It consists of a continuous pulling belt, four rubberized disks pressed against it, five pressure rollers, a driving pulley and a tension pulley, and a removing device. The dividers guide the flax stalks into the pulling channels, where they are gripped by the pulling belt, which tears them out of the ground and feeds them to the conveyor of the removing device. The removing device drops the stalks onto the ground in the form of a strip. Unlike the mounted machine, the trailertype flax puller has a band-roller pulling device and each channel is formed by two continuous belts pressed against each other by pressure rollers and a conveyor for moving the pulled stalks and placing them in the field.
