Agastache Species
An aromatic herb, the root of which is used in Chinese herbal medicine for managing low-grade fever, chest congestion, headache, dark urine (presumably haematuria) and subjective sensation of heaviness in the arms and legs. It is used topically for fungal infections.Uses, Mexican herbal medicine Gastrointestinal complaints (bloating, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, morning sickness, poor appetite), afebrile colds, nervous and cardiovascular complaints.
A report by Song et al (J Food Sci Nutr 2001; 6:10-15) suggests that A. rugosa has antimicrobial activity.
