Special Features:Situated on a scenic peninsula extending into Long Island Sound, park lands include woodlands, meadows, salt marsh, and rocky shoreline. Park features an estate built in 1921 by Marshall Field III. The English-style estate was a private country club, hunting preserve, and home, complete with its own water and electrical supply and facilities for every sport except golf. Today, several of the park's buildings serve as headquarters for various environmental education groups.
