Eruslan

a river in Saratov and Volgograd oblasts, RSFSR. A left tributary of the Volga, it empties into Eruslan Bay of the Volgograd Reservoir. Length, 278 km. Basin area, 5,570 sq km. It rises in the southwestern outskirts of the Obshchii Syrt. In the summer the Eruslan dries up in places. The water is salty. The tributary on the left is the Torgun. The river is used for irrigation. The city of Krasnyi Kut is on the Eruslan.
