DDIT3 A gene on chromosome 12q13.1-q13.2 that encodes a member of the CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP) family of transcription factors, which form heterodimers with other C/EBP members—e.g., C/EBP and LAP—preventing their DNA binding activity.
