Agdzhabedi

city and administrative center of Ag-dzhabedi Raion, Azerbaijan SSR. Located in the Kura-Araks lowland, 45 km east of the Agdam railroad station. Population 17,500 (1968). Industry consists of an auto-repair plant and a butter-and-cheese factory. Formerly a settlement, Agdzhabedi was designated a city in 1962.
