DDX3X A gene on chromosome Xp11.3-p11.23 that encodes a protein which contains a conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) motif and acts as an ATP-dependent RNA helicase. It interacts with hepatitis C virus core protein, changing its intracellular location, and is a cofactor for XPO1-mediated nuclear export of incompletely spliced HIV-1 Rev RNAs; it is also involved in HIV-1 replication. |
