Location:Northeast of Osage City, off Highway J in Cole County.

Special Features:Site preserves a site recorded in the journal of WilliamClark in 1804. The Lewis and Clark Expedition had camped nearby, and Clarkascended the hill for a view of the confluence of the Missouri andOsage Rivers. Some Indian burial mounds observed by Clark lie along thewooded trail that takes visitors to the overlook of the rivers.
