Location:On north Key Largo, Florida, off Card Sound Road.
Activities:Educational programs.
Special Features:Refuge contains some of the Keys' last remaining stands of high tropical hardwood hammock.
Habitats: 6,606 acres of tropical hardwood hammock, mangrove forests, manmade channels, and open water.
Access: Closed to general public use, although limited special-use permits may be obtained.
Wild life: Endangered species include American crocodile, Schaus' swallowtail butterfly, Key Largo woodrat, and Key Largo cotton mouse.
