Enrichment of Nuclear Fuel

(1) Any process that artificially increases the content of the fissionable isotope ²³⁵U in a mixture of isotopes of uranium.

(2) An imprecise but widely used term that denotes the artificial increase of the content of a fissionable isotope in a nuclear fuel by the addition of that isotope to the fuel.
