An aqueous solution of arsenite of potassium, of such strength that one hundred parts represent one part of arsenious acid, or white arsenic; - named from Fowler, an English physician who first brought it into use.

Fowler’s Solution

a potassium arsenite solution, a medicinal preparation developed by the English physician T. Fowler in 1786. The solution is taken internally as a general tonic in certain forms of anemia, cachexia, myasthenia, and neurasthenia. It is contraindicated in kidney disorders, neurites, pronounced anemia, and dyspeptic diseases.
