a transmembrane protein found on monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, some B cells, and dendritic cells that is involved in signal transduction leading to oxidative burst and/or synthesis of tumor necrosis factor-α; expressed in some patients with acute nonlymphocytic leukemia and in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
