a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored protein present on B cells, pre-B cells, neutrophils, and a few thymocytes that may play a role in inducing B-cell proliferation and differentiation; expressed in patients with B-cell lymphomas and some with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemias.
