A rare tumour of the soft tissues of the neck thought to derive from branchial arch tissue, which histologically resembles fetal, mature, or involuted thymus and mediastinal thymomas and ranges from completely benign to metastasisingly malignant.
Clinical findings
Affects adult males.
Prognosis
Recurs, but doesn’t metastasise.
