Location:In the southeastern portion of the state between Norristown and Collegeville.
Facilities:Youth hostel, picnic area, picnic pavilions (é), hiking trails (6 miles), bike trail (5 miles), bridle trails (15 miles), cross-country skiing trails, fishing pier (é), 18-hole golf course, playfield, playground, visitor center/historic building.
Activities:Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, golf, cross-country skiing, interpretive programs.
Special Features:The Friedt Visitor Center is located in a home built by German Mennonites in the early 1700s. It includes historical material on the lives of the families who owned the home for 190 years. The root cellar, well, herb and sensory gardens add to the 18th century atmosphere.
