Debin

an urban-type settlement in Iagodnoe Raion, Magadan Oblast. RSFSR; situated on the left bank of the Kolyma River, 4 km below the mouth of the Debin River on the Magadan-Ust’-Nera highway. Gold is mined in the region. The Kolyma Hydroelectric Power Plant is being built (1972) 40 km from Debin.
