Balygychan
Balygychan
(in its headwaters, known as Levyi Balygychan), a river in Magadan Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Kolyma. It is 400 km long, and its basin has an area of 17,600 sq km. It flows along the Kolyma highlands. It is fed mostly by rain. It freezes over in the beginning of October and opens up again at the end of May. It is used for timber floating.
