Bambari

a city in the Central African Republic; located on the Ouaka River (Congo Basin); administrative center of Ouaka Prefecture. Population, 25,500 (1966).

Bambari is a highway junction. It is the commercial center of the surrounding agricultural region (cotton growing and livestock breeding). Bambari has a cotton ginning factory, an oil mill, and a soap factory.
