Elogui

 

a river in the western part of Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR; left-bank tributary of the Enisei. Length, 464 km. Basin area, 25,100 sq km. It originates in two headwater streams, the Pravyi and Levyi Elogui, on the Ob’-Enisei divide and flows through swampy forests. The river has a winding channel. It is fed by various sources, mostly snow. Spring high water is succeeded by a high low-water level, and there are freshets in the summer and fall. The average discharge at the populated center of Kellog is about 150 cu m per sec. The river freezes at the end of October, and the ice breaks up in May. It can be used for floating timber and is navigable from Kellog.
