Established: 1965.
Location:Northwestern Ohio where Maumee Bay meets Lake Erie.
Activities:Fishing.
Special Features:Refuge property was donated to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by owners of the Cedar Point Shooting Club. A bald eagle nest is located where the shooting club's lodge once stood.
Habitats: 2,445 acres, primarily marsh divided into 3 pools.
Access: Most of the refuge is closed to the public; however, a fishing area near Yondota Road gate is open from June to August.
Wild life: Migrating waterfowl, herons, egrets, bald eagles.
