E-scope

E-display

E-displayThe display that gives range on the X-axis and elevation on the Y-axis. There are two types of E-displays. In the first type, a linear sawtooth current waveform proportional to the angle elevation is applied to the Y-deflection of coils, and the range sweep waveform is applied to the X-deflection of coils. In the second type, the timebase itself goes on tilting according to the tilting of the aerial system. This enables one to determine the range and the angle of elevation conveniently. Also called E-scan and E-scope.
