Special Features:This day-use park is located in the heart of the Twin Cities and hasextensive hiking, bike, and ski trails that link to Minnehaha Park andthe Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge (see separate entry innational refuges section). Visitors also can hike on Pike Island, wherethe Mississippi and Minnesota rivers converge, or follow the trails upto the historic Fort Snelling for a view of military life in the 1820s.
