Dog-Faced Ape
the common name of a group of apes of the subfamily Cercopithecinae. The group includes baboons, mandrills, and sometimes the gelada. Dog-faced apes are large animals; they have a large head, an elongated snout, and developed supercilia. The majority are terrestrial and live in small or large troops in Africa, south of the Sahara.
