[flu̇′res·əns ‚meth·əd] (graphic arts) A method of ultraviolet photography in which the subject is illuminated by ultraviolet light, and a filter is used on the camera to absorb the reflected ultraviolet light and permit only the visible fluorescence to reach the film.
