Clitellata

a group of annelid worms that includes two classes: Oligochaeta and Hirudinea. The worms are hermaphroditic. They are characterized by a clitellum—a glandular thickening of the skin located in the anterior half of the body. The clitellum forms the cocoon, in which egg fertilization and embryo development occur.
