Cryomation Cryomation A patented process developed by Cryomation Ltd and University of Hertfordshire as an alternative to cremation and burial for human and pet remains. The process uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the body to -196ºC; once the body is brittle, it is fragmented, foreign metal objects removed, and the rest freeze dried under a vacuum to remove the moisture, leaving a sterile powder that can be used as compost. |
