Fejér, Lipót

 

Born Feb. 9, 1880, in Pecs; died Oct. 15, 1959, in Budapest. Hungarian mathematician. Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1930; corresponding member, 1908).

Fejér graduated from the University of Budapest in 1901 and was a professor at the university from 1911 to 1959. His principal works concern such subjects in function theory as the convergence and summability of trigonometric series and the theory of interpolation.
