Barsanovite
a mineral; chemical formula (Na, Ca)9(Fe, Mn)2 (Zr, Nb)2 [Si3O9]4. It usually contains admixtures of rare-earth metals and strontium. It belongs to the eudialite group but crystallizes in a monoclinic system. It forms grainy-crystalline masses ranging in color from reddish-brown to yellow-green. Its hardness on the mineralogical scale is 4.8–5.0; its density is 3,070 kg/m3. It was discovered in the feldspar-nepheline pegmatite veins of the Khibiny alkali complex.
