Dolisie
a city in the People’s Republic of the Congo, administrative center of the Niari region. Population, 20,000 (1966). It is an important transport center on the highway and railroad line from Pointe-Noir to Brazzaville. Industries include food, saw-milling, and plywood production. Dolisie was founded in 1934. It was named in honor of the French explorer A. Dolisie.
