Dunaevtsy

a city (until 1958, an urban-type settlement), the administrative center of Dunaevtsy Raion, Khmel’nitskii Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Dunaevtsy is situated on the Ternava River, a tributary of the Dniester River, and is 22 km from the Dunaevtsy station on the Khmel’nitskii-Larga railway line. The city had 14,600 inhabitants in 1970. A steel-fittings plant, a mechanical-repair plant, a creamery, a furniture factory, and a cloth factory are located there. The city has been known since the 15th century.
