Dolomite Refractory Materials

Dolomite Refractory Materials

a coarsegrained powder from crushed dolomite that has been fired to a sintered state and articles from such a powder, predominantly with resinous binding (unfired and fired). The sintered dolomite powder is used for patching the fettlings of openhearth and electric steel furnaces, and the dolomite products (including slugs) are used for lining steel smelting converters and in part electric furnaces. Dolomite refractory materials are characterized by high resistance to melts of basic character. Their fire stability temperature is 1800°-1950°C and higher.
