Eduard Horovský

Born Oct. 22, 1831, in Pribram; died Feb. 25, 1896, in Vienna. Czech mining engineer.

Hořovský was the author of the monumental work On Methods of Mining Coal (1876). He contributed a great deal toward systematizing Czech technical terminology. He published a German-Czech-Russian Mining and Metallurgical Dictionary in 1890.
