Dedina, Václav

 

Born Dec. 6, 1870, in Vinařica; died Nov. 30, 1956, in Prague. Czechoslovak physical geographer and geomorphologist; corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Czechoslovakia (1952). Professor at Charles University in Prague.

Dedina was editor in chief of a multivolume study on Czechoslovakia (1929-31). His major work is in general physical geography, geomorphology, and problems related to the geographical districting of Czechoslovakia.
