Doliniuk, Evgeniia Alekseevna

 

Born Apr. 12 (25), 1914, in the village of Belevtsy, in present-day Borshchev Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast. Activist in the kolkhoz movement; team leader (since 1946) of the Twenty-second Congress of the CPSU Kolkhoz, of Borshchev Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast; twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1951 and 1958). Became a member of the CPSU in 1953.

The harvest of corn for grain obtained by Doliniuk’s team went from 87.3 centners per hectare on an area of 10.2 hectares in 1951 to 160 centners per hectare on 15 hectares in 1957 and 85 centners per hectare on 50 hectares in 1967. The team’s sugar beet harvest rose from 555 centners per hectare on 30 hectares in 1966 to 655 centners per hectare on 30 hectares in 1967. Doliniuk was a delegate to the Twenty-first through Twenty-fourth Congresses of the CPSU. She was elected a candidate member of the Central Committee at the Twenty-second Congress of the CPSU, She is the author of the books Onward Toward the Great Corn Harvest (1961), The Ranks of Corn Farmers Are Growing (1962), and We Are the Happy Generation (1964). Doliniuk was a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the sixth convocation and has been awarded the Order of Lenin, medals of the USSR, and 12 medals of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition and the Exhibition of the Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR.
