The component parts of the power plant are a right-bank concrete dam, with a maximum height of 80 m; a concrete channel dam, with a maximum height of 87 m and with one 18-meter-long surface spillway span; the 212-meter-long building of the power plant in front of the dam; and a four-lift single-lane lock located on the right bank. The 430-me-ter-long pumping installations of the power plant create the Bukhtarma Reservoir. The hydroelectric power generated by the plant is transmitted on high-voltage electric transmission lines at tensions of220 and 110 kW to the Unified Power System of East Kazakhstan.
